Business Description
Former Fashion Buyer, stylist. Was a Buyer for Macy's, Joann's, Mervyn's, TJMaxx and many other retail leaders. Traveled internationally finding trends and now bring that expertise to creating photographs.
My name is Sherril Gerard. I’ve always enjoyed the arts and spent my young years drawing, acting and painting. I fancied myself an artist for many years until my mother told me that I needed to find real work. I Graduated from Mount Holyoke College, a prestigious women’s college in New England and put my art dreams aside to find real work, or work where an English major with an artistic flair could excel; Retail.
I worked as a fashion buyer for many years traveling nationally and internationally for the likes of Macy’s, Mervyns’, Jo-Ann’s, and Stage Stores. Taming my artistic beast was far harder than I imagined. Relying on my fashion skills, observation skills, and childhood delight at all things artistic, I would like to share with you photography through my eyes.
